While it is pretty much exactly the same as the Inspire plain diaper, there are subtle differences that make a pretty large difference between the two, most notably the taping system on the inspire select is obviously only one tape (one short, but very tall single tape per side).
Due to the single tape design, the sizing (not the overall sizes of the diaper) or fit, is quite a bit different from the 4 tape inspire. Obviously it will be subjective from one person to the next...

Pros: very very comfortable when taped up properly. Stupidly absorbent and super soft inside just like all rearz disposables. the powder blue sides/accenting is a nice visual touch, looks very vintage correct, its a great look. the outer plastic is pretty much identical to the 4 tape inspire = soft, VERY CRINKLY (there's no hiding these under clothes in a quiet room). I find the front and rear elastics function much better on this model. The leg gathers and elastics seem taller on this one as well which is excellent.

Things to note: To get a nice snug fit with these can be done but I find there is a pinching effect right below my hip bones if the diaper's wings are not flattened out against the skin when being done up, as well as the seal around the legs may either be tighter or looser than around the waist depending on the angle the tape is placed on the landing zone. still experimenting with this...

Cons: although the single tape is what a lot of us wanted, I personally feel, in my opinion that rearz kinda went backward with the tape design, instead of a short, wide (tall) tape that this diaper has, I find the fit on other diapers are much more functional with long narrow tapes (tena slip maxi european) for people like me that sleep with a knee always bent (putting lots of force on the tape) which makes the tape let go on the edges which curl up and slowly let go until you wake up with one that has let go/completely failed. Even noting this, I've just overlooked the issue and use some strips of my own clear tape instead, or to help reinforce. (clear duct tape).

Other than that, Its pretty much the 4 tape inspire with a bit more style. same great diaper with a twist. It is definitely my favorite looking rearz product so far. thank you rearz for making magnificent diapers, these are my go-to until you come out with the next best one... I think this is the diaper people NEED to try if they enjoy anything about the ABU super dry kids.

thanks rearz!
